March Madness 11/04/17

The glorious weather has seen the shop get very busy, very quickly as everyone dusts off the bikes to enjoy the sunshine. We've been busy out and about ourselves..

I got out on my Sintesi for it's first truly long ride heading down to Peebles, via the Gladhouse Reservoir, and back to Dalkeith along the Lyme valley. It was an awesome ride and it was nice to know I can still do that kind of distance in a reasonable time without too much bother. February Fun 16/03/17

I'm a little late with the February post due to being on my holidays up in the Highlands. Unfortunately I didn't get any biking done as I'd hoped to, but the weather was beautiful and the hounds enjoyed visiting the beaches and woods.

The workshop remains relatively busy so do please phone ahead if you need your bicycle for a particular day.

Andy has been busy painting and welding bikes and below is a little tease of something he is working on.

For my own efforts I've cycled 182.7 miles commuting back and forth from work a little down on last year at...

So it’s been a long time since I last blogged – I’ve been too busy making things and fixing bikes to do it! Sorry about that, must try harder in 2017...

I did indeed finish Steve's road frame, the build went well and I learned a lot from doing it. Unfortunately I deleted all of the "in progress" photos but here is a photo of the completed frame pre paint.

And some photos of the complete bike.

So why does it have a black front rim and a wite rear rim? On his second ride on the bike a pedestrian stepped out in front of Steve and in the resulting crash the front rim was written...
