Over the summer of 2008 Cycling Scotland asked you for your ideas on actions that would encourage people to cycle more often and what should be included in a Cycling Action Plan for Scotland (CAPS). The CAPS consultation document was published on the Scottish Government website on 28 May and the consultation period will run until 20 August 2009.

If you want to take this chance to tell them if they got the actions right and if there is anything else missing click here to find out more.

Making the journey across the pond to visit the largest bicycle trade show in the America’s – Interbike.

Looking forward to checking out all the new garb, toys, and bling that will be flooding the market soon and hopefully coming back with some one-off products…stay tuned for details.

Meanwhile we’re keeping busy in the shop with repairs and trying to stock up on new product for all.

So here we are…week 2…what a wonderful week 1 of East Side Bikes…mainly due to all you visitors, fellow bike enthusiasts, and those of you who love used bikes popping in to see us. Thank you and come back and see us soon.
For those of you who are in search of the perfect well loved used or new bike keep popping in to the shop as we have an ever changing and ever growing stable of bikes to choose from and if we haven’t got what your looking for we’ll do our darndest to find it for you.

From hard to find vintage classics, to modern day bikes to get to work on – we source quality used bicycles and parts, restore and customize, giving bicyles a new life.

We can work with you to create select customized bikes that fit your needs and budget. Bring your ideas and creativity and we will work work hard to source used and new parts to create your own unique custom bicycle.

Within our shop we also have have an ever changing range of lovingly restored used bikes which might be just what your looking for.
